Cencaru BBQ Fish (Ikan Cencaru Bakar)


Ikan Cencaru Bakar (BBQ Fish) using Queen's Xense Double Pan is so easy & hassle free that you can do it in your own kitchen at your own convenience. Enjoy Ikan Bakar without the greasiness, smoke & sweat.

What you need : Queen's Xense double pan for grilling.

Excellent nonstick two-tone Marble coating,Flat pattern bottom on the cover & grill pattern on the bottom, BIGGEST sized double pan.

Coating: Inside & Outside - Excellent Nonstick Marble coating with 5-layer, Long lasting, Anti-bacterial silver nano particles included.

Ingredients :

1 Cencaru Fish (about 315g) - you may use other type of fish as long as the fish can fit into the Queen's Xense double pan.

2 cloves garlic

1 stalk spring onion

15gm ginger - thinly sliced or smashed by back of knife

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp tumeric powder (serbuk kunyit)

1/2 tsp curry powder

2-3 pandan leaves, wash, clean & wipe dry

2-3 pcs toothpick

2 tbsp cooking oil

Steps by Steps:

1. Clean fish & stuff the stomach & head with ginger, garlic & spring onion. This is to remove the fishy smell.

2. Wipe dry the fish with kitchen towel. Marinate fish with salt, turmeric powder & curry powder.

3. Wrap the whole body of fish with pandan leaves. Secure the ends with toothpick. Keep in fridge & let it marinate for 2 hrs at least.

4. Ready the double pan & preheat with at medium heat for about 5 minutes.

5. Add cooking oil & slowly put in cencaru fish & cover back.

6. Let it grill for about 8 minutes (time depends on the size of your fish) and then open cover, flip the fish & let it grill on the other side. Cover back & let it grill another 8 minutes.

7. Once the fish fully cooked, remove & serve.

8. You may serve with your favourite dipping sauce.
