Simple and comforting dish. The chopped lotus root adds some crunchy texture to the minced pork.

Ingredients: (serves 2)
115g Minced Pork
45g Lotus Root (coarsely chopped)
1 nos Egg
Marinade:
1/2 tsp Light Soy Sauce
1/4 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Oyster Sauce
1/4 tsp Sugar
1/2 tsp Corn Starch
1/4 tsp Ginger Powder
Dash of White Pepper
3 tsp Water
Sauce:
30ml Water
1 tsp Light Soy Sauce
1/4 tsp Sugar

Step by Step:
1. Mix minced meat with chopped lotus root and all the marinade ingredients above.
2. Stir till meat turns sticky like paste. Let it rest for about 15 minutes to marinade.
3. Roll minced meat into a giant ball and transfer to steaming plate.
4. Using a spoon, slight press down to form a ring and make a hole in the middle for the egg to sit in later.

5. Crack egg on the center of the minced pork.

6. Steamed on rapid boiling water for 10 minutes.
7. Meantime, cook the sauce by combining water, light soy sauce and sugar, bring to a boil and pour onto the minced pork just before serving.
8. Served hot with steamed rice.
