Fantasy Crabstick Beancurd

Let's make this cute little tofu balls that you can hide all the veggies in it. Tofu and egg, 2 main ingredients which are high in protein. Kids will definitely love this. Great as finger food as well.

Ingredients :

1 pc Soft Beancurd

3 sticks Crabstick (cut into 3 pcs)

15g Carrot (julienned)

15g Corn Kernels

15g Tang hoon / mung bean vermicelli (soaked 20 mins) & cut short

1 clove Garlic (finely minced)

2 nos eggs

Oil for frying


Seasoning :

1/4 tsp White Pepper Powder

1/4 tsp Salt

1/2 tsp Sugar

1/2 tsp Chicken Powder seasoning


You will need cup moulds x 8 nos

Method :

1. Smashed tofu with a fork. Add in carrot, corn kernels, vermicelli noodles, minced garlic, egg and seasoning ingredients. Mix till well combined.

2. Heat up the steamer. Brushed the cup moulds with some cooking oil.

3. Fill up each cup mould with tofu mixture. Place the crabsticks in the center.

4. Steamed for 10 mins. Remove and let it cool down slightly.

5. Beat an egg. Remove tofu from cup moulds and dip into beaten egg.

6. Drop them into hot oil and fry till golden brown.

7. Ready to serve with your favourite sauce.
