A simple comfort food that I believe many of you loves to cook this too. Kids especially loves this dishes and they can have it all the time.
You can either replace minced pork with minced chicken.
For those newbies who are learning on how to cook a few simple dishes, this might be a good dish to try.
Ingredients:
70g Minced Pork
2 pcs Potatoes (about 225g) - sliced
2-3 cloves Garlic - smashed
1 tbsp Cooking Oil
100ml Water
1 tsp Light Soy Sauce
1 tsp Oyster Sauce
1/4 tsp Sugar
Some dark Soy Sauce (depend how dark you want it to be)
Marinate for Minced Pork
1 tsp Light Soy Sauce
Dash of Pepper
Pinch of Sugar
1/4 tsp Corn Flour
1 tsp Shaoxing Wine
Step by Step:
1. Marinate minced pork with the marinade ingredients for at least 20 mins.
2. Heat oil in pan.
3. Saute garlic till fragrant. Then add in minced pork and stirfry for 1 minute. Keep stirring with the back of the spatula so that it won't stick to a big chunk.
4. Add in sliced potatoes and stir for about 30 seconds.
5. Then add in water, light soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar and dark soy sauce. Stir to mix evenly.
6. Covered & let in simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes or until potatoes softens. You can use a fork to poke the potatoes to test the tenderness.
If you love to eat mushy potatoes, you can cook it a little bit longer.
7. Dish up and serve.
