Boiled Green Apple, Lemongrass & Pandan Tea


Saw this drink shared in some cooking group and made this to try too.

Great for joint pains & inflammations especially knee pains and ankle pains. Note that this is not remedies that will heal in a day or two. You need to consume them continuously in order to see the result.

Taste wise, mild lemongrass flavour and light in taste. You won't be able to taste apple sourness.

Ingredients:

1 pc Green Apple - cut & deseed

3 stalks Lemongrass - crushed

3pcs Pandan Leaves - knotted

1.2L Hot Water

*Optional : Rock Sugar to taste

Step by Step:

I will remove the apple skin due to the wax surface. However, if you have cleaned the apple skin thoroughly, you may boil it with the skin intact.

Put everything (except rock sugar) in a pot and boil for 30 minutes.

Finally add in rock sugar and boil for another 5-10mins until rock sugar fully melted. Do not over sweeten with rock sugar, otherwise you will be getting diabetic before your joints fully recover. Best is just drink without any sugar.

Ready to serve hot or warm.

No harm to just give it a try. Anyway, pandan leaves do benefits the skin while apple is high in Vitamin C, antioxidant and lowers cholesterol. Lemongrass is high in antioxidant, helps digestions, cleanses & detoxify, keeps skin healthy and reduces arthritis pain.
