Clams Aglio Olio Pasta

A quick fix if you feeling lazy and want something simple. Can prepare for one person meal or meal for the whole family. Put in anything that you can find in the fridge. Just be creative.

Ingredients : (serves 1)
1 portion Spaghetti Pasta
10 pcs Clams
1 clove Garlic - thinly slice
3 pcs Dried Red Chillies (soaked, cut & seed removed by rinsing under running tap water)
3 tbsp Olive Oil
Seasoning :
dash of black pepper
pinch of salt
pinch of Dried Oregano & Thyme
pinch of Dried Chilli Flakes
Step by Step :
1. Boil hot water & add in 1/2 tablespoon of table salt to every 1 litre of water. Throw in spaghetti & cook until it reach you preferred hardness texture.
2. In another pot, boil some water. When it's boiling, put in clams & reduce to low heat.
3. Blanch the clams until it opens up. Once open, you can scoop up. This process is to remove any sand or mud inside the clams.
4. Rinse clams under running tap water. Set aside.
5. Check your spaghetti. It should be cook by now. Drain & set aside.
6. Add cooking oil to a heated pan. Saute garlic till it turn golden brown.
7. Add dried chillies and saute for another 30 seconds.
8. Add in cooked spaghetti, blanched clams & all seasoning. Stir evenly to mix.
9. Dish up & serve.
