When I brew this lemongrass tea in the kitchen, the whole house filled with aromatic scent of lemongrass. A natural air freshener.
Make yourself some Lemongrass drink, adding pandan leaves (screwpine) for additional aroma & ginger to reduce 'wind' in your body.
Ingredients :
3 stalks lemongrass pounded to release the flavour
3 pandan (screwpine) leaves
6 slices ginger
2 litres water
40 grams rock sugar (I prefer a slight tinge of sweetness. If you like it more sweet, add more sugar to your preference)
Step by Step :
1. In a pot, add the ingredients except rock sugar. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for about 30 minutes.
2. Add rock sugar and boil another 5 mins until dissolved.
3. Remove lemongrass stalks, ginger and pandan.
4. Serve warm or chilled.
Tips : If you don't want to pound the lemongrass, you can also cut the lemongrass into short length about 1cm length.
