Red Bean, Lily Bulbs & Lotus Seeds Sweet Soup

Simple dessert to replenish blood, reduce swelling due to water retention. Lily bulbs helps to moisturise the lungs, relieves cough and calms the mind.
I'm using slow cooker to cook this as I find that red beans will turn soft faster than cooking on stove top.

Ingredients : (serves 2-3)
100g Red beans
20g Lotus Seeds
15g Dried Lily Bulbs
2 pcs Pandan Leaves
45g Rock Sugar
650ml Hot Water

Step by step :
1. Rinse red beans & lotus seeds. Soak them in water for 30 minutes.
2. Add hot water into slow cooker, together with red beans, lotus seeds, lily bulbs and pandan leaves. Turn to high heat and boil for 3 hours until the red beans are tender and breaks.
3. Add in rock sugar and cook for another 10 mins until sugar melted.
4. Serve warm.
