This chocolate tart is made simply by pouring chocolate ganache onto the tart crust, and then decorated with some chopped walnuts & strawberries. Simple enough, no baking required to enjoy this sinful dessert.

I'm using Hershey's Kitchens Semi-Sweet chocolate chips. Yes, Hershey is my favourite. And I am using Soy Milk (sweeten) in my ganache, for a healthier plant-based option. Don't worry, it doesn't affect the taste much, you still be able to taste chocolate overall. Alternatively, you can always replace it with Fresh Milk.
Ingredients : (makes 1 x 6" round pan with removable base)
Tart Crust Base:
100g Marie Biscuit
80g Melted Unsalted Butter
1/2 tsp Salt
Ganache Filling:
110g Chocolate Chips (I using Hershey's Less Sweet)
30g Unsalted Butter
80ml Soy Milk
Decoration :
Strawberries or any fruit of your choice
Walnuts or any nuts of your choice (chopped)
Step by Step :
1. Grease the sides of a 6 inch removable cake pan and base of the pan. Blend biscuits coarsely or use a pestle to crush them.
2. Pour in melted butter & mix well.
3. Press hard the biscuit crumbs using a spoon to the bottom & sides of the cake pan. Make sure the sides must be thick, otherwise it will be easily break when remove from pan. Put the tin in the fridge and let it harden for at least 2-3 hours in fridge. (Alternatively you can let it set in the freezer - 1 hour).
4. Place soy milk and butter in a saucepan, bring to a simmer. Once the butter is melted, turn off the heat. Add in chocolate chips and leave it for about 1 min. Stir until all the chocolate melts and the mixture becomes smooth and shiny. Leave to cool abit.

(if you noticed, I had removed the tart crust from the pan. You don't have to as the longer you let it set, the better, especially chilling the 2nd time together with the chocolate ganache). Removing too early might risk the crust being too crumbly & breaks.

5. Pour the chocolate mixture onto the tart crust. Chill the tart in the fridge until the chocolate mixture is set, roughly about 5-6 hours. Alternatively, to cut short the chilling hours in fridge, I put it in the freezer in the first 1 hour, then transfer to chiller fridge section.
6. Carefully unmould tart and decorate with chopped walnuts & strawberries as desired.

Happy Cooking.
