Air Fried Lady Fingers / Okra

Writer: Michelle LeeMichelle Lee

And I am happy to share that although air fried okra is a little bit more time consuming to make, it's still worth it. (It’s still easy! It’s just more time consuming comparing to how I usually just blanch my okra in hot water & drizzle with garlic oil). The breaded crumb give it a light & crispy bites. Great for that healthy snacktime.

The original recipe actually recommended to toss in just a tiny bit of oil, then air fry (second round) for a few more minutes for that extra crunch. But I was just too lazy, I skipped that step. But they are still good to go.

Recipe adapted from below website with some slight adjustments. https://abeautifulmess.com/2018/11/air-fried-okra.html

Ingredients :

5 pcs Ladies Finger / Okra

1/2 tsp All Purpose Flour

5-6 tbsp Bread Crumb

1/2 Egg (beaten)

Pinch of Salt

Pinch of Sugar

Dash of White Pepper

Step by step :

1. Rinse the okra and cut off the top. Cut into 2cm length.

2. Mix flour with salt, sugar & pepper. Toss the okra into the flour to coat evenly.

3. Then dip each piece in the egg mixture, then in the bread crumbs.

4. Air fry at 175°C for 6-7 minutes.

5. Remove & serve at once.

Happy Cooking..
