Black Glutinous Rice & Red Bean Sweet Soup Dessert

Simple dessert.


I'm using slow cooker to cook this as I find that red beans will turn soft faster than cooking on stove top.


Ingredients : (serves 2-3)

60g Red beans

60g Black Glutinous Rice

2 pcs Pandan Leaves

45g Rock Sugar

750ml Hot Water

Some Coconut milk for drizzle


Step by step :

1. Rinse red beans & black glutinous rice. Soak them in water for 15 minutes.


2. Add hot water into slow cooker, together with red beans, black glutinous rice and pandan leaves. Turn to high heat and boil for 2.5 hours until the red beans are tender and breaks.


3. Add in rock sugar and cook for another 10 mins until sugar melted.


4. Drizzle some coconut milk before serving. Serve warm or chilled.
