Corn Fritters


Here's for sweet corn lover. Can be eaten as a dish during your meal or as tea time snacks.. Super easy to prepare and fried till crunchy outside & soft juicy corn kernels inside. Rather addictive and you just can't stop at one piece. Advise to use fresh corn kernels as it is more juicy and sweet in taste. Just use the knife and cut out the kernels. Frozen corn kernels might not taste as good.

Ingredients:

1 pc whole Corn Kernel

Oil for frying

Batter :

5 tbsp All Purpose Flour

1 tsp Rice Flour

1/8 tsp Baking Powder

Pinch of Salt

Pinch of Sugar

Dash of White Pepper

4 1/2 tbsp Water

Step by Step:

1. Mix the batter ingredients in a bowl and slowly add water while stirring. Add water till it become a thick batter, not too watery or too thick.

2. Add in corn kernels into the batter and mix till well combined.

3. Heat up oil in the wok. Drop a spoonful of the corn batter into the hot oil. (you can use more oil for deep frying. I'm just using lesser oil so that I won't have to keep so much of the used oil)

4. Fry till golden & dish up.

5. Ready to serve. Serve hot.
