A very common dish you can find in almost all Thai eateries. Spicy & the basil leaves gives a very aromatic smell to the whole dish.
An easy to prepare dish. A very tasty meal either as a dish itself or serve together with steam white rice. Individual meal usually will be serve with a sunny side-up on top.
Ingredients : (Serves 2)
300gm minced pork
Thai Basil leaves
1 small shallot, thinly sliced
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
1 thin slice of ginger
2 chilli padi, sliced (or normal red chilli if you can't take too spicy)
2 tablespoons cooking oil
Seasoning sauce : (mix all together)
1 1/2 tablespoon fish sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
6 tablespoon of water
Marinade :
1 teaspoon light soy sauce
1 teaspoon sugar
dash of pepper
Steps by steps :
1. Marinade the minced pork with the marinade ingredients above.
2. Heat cooking oil in a pan till hot, add ginger, shallot, chili padi & garlic, saute till you smell a nice aroma.
3. Then add in marinade minced pork, keep stirfry & break up the big pieces of pork, prevent it to become big clump. Continue stir-fry till pork is almost cooked.
4. Put in the seasoning sauce into the pork and continue to simmer for 1-2 mins until pork is done.
5. Add basil leaves, cooked till leaves are wilted.
6. Serve with steam white rice.
